Empowering Families began as a way to train professionals and parents on how to handle difficult children in the foster care system. Jackie's experience with foster children began when she was a little girl growing up on her parents' Wisconsin farm, and has grown into a life-long commitment and passion. Now she describes her work as simply empowering all families with the skills they need to heal their hurting children by giving them the ability to move beyond their negative history.
