One-on-One Sessions
​
We provide play-based one-on-one sessions in the family's home and/or at a park or local community agency. During each session, we address the following developmental domains; cognitive, language (receptive and expressive), gross and fine motor, social-emotional and self-help (adaptive). We build skills in each developmental domain through natural play.

We also provide parents the techniques and skills necessary in order to help their child reach their developmental goals.
Consulting Services
We provide Physical, Occupational, and Speech and Language consultations for all our families.

We provide Mental Health consultations and referrals for our families and children. We connect families with a qualified Marriage and Family Therapist.
Community Resources & Referrals
We provide our families with a variety of community resources and referrals. We provide community resources ranging from immigration, housing, domestic violence to LGBTQ+.
Play-Based Assessments
We provide developmentally appropriate play-based assessments. We use the Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP) which is widely recognized as a comprehensive, on-going, family-centered curriculum-based assessment process for infants and toddlers and their families
Virtual Services (Tele-Intervention)
NEW! Hybrid Services
In response to COVID-19, California's Safer at Home Directive and the guidance and direction of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Empowering Families, Inc. is providing remote Early Intervention services or tele-intervention to infants and toddlers and their families. Our experienced Early Intervention Specialists will provide sessions via video that will focus on parent training, consultation, guidance and support.
We are now providing (limited) in-person sessions along with virtual sessions. Hybrid services are a combination of face-to-face and virtual (tele-intervention). Hybrid services occurs both in the home (or other physical space) with social distancing and health and safety measures in place or through tele-intervention.

Our Early Intervention Specialists are following strict COVID-19 safety protocols including a daily screening through ClearPass.
