As we plan for the next couple of months, our foremost concern is the health, safety, and welfare of our staff and the families we serve. Throughout the pandemic, our decisions have reflected the guidance of public health officials.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has indicated that social distancing and the wearing of protective face coverings will be warranted in the weeks and months ahead. Further, public health officials nationwide are predicting additional waves of the pandemic as we look ahead through the fall and winter months.
Because of the continuing threat posed by the pandemic, Empowering Families, Inc. is planning to continue virtual services (tele-intervention) for the remainder for 2020 rather than in-person services.
